Will: p.[proved?] 5 Feb 1753 vol.1 folio 463 P.G. Co. Wills. Said to mention dau. Mary Magruder, appoint James Magruder Jr. as guardian and trustee of his children. As abstracted in Md. Cal. Wills 10, 245, however, his wife at death was named "Eliza." (extrx), and he names children Mary Magruder, Allen Bowie, James Bowie, John Bowie, and an unborn child. Names Thomas Bowie and James Magruder, Jr., guardians and trustees for children. Remainder to "3 sons and child my wife will bear."
[All the above would be consistent with William son by Mary Offutt deceased by 29 Nov 1753 (date of this will), remarriage to Eliza. shortly after death of Mary Offutt (bef 9 Mar 1748) to produce 3 sons and the unborn child.]
