BIOGRAPHY: From Couper, Chart no. 9:
"B. ca. 1700
In 1740 she was given a negro woman by will of her father Thomas Farrar (W.B.3-561, Goochland Co. )
By a deed, dated May 16, 1748, recorded next day, her mother left her all her estate at her mother's death. It was a form of will. John Barnett was a witness. (D.B. 5-409, Goochland Co., Va.)
10-18-1763 she signed a deed selling 175 ac., with her sons Thomas and Jesse (D.B. 8-370) and she appeared in court that day at Goochland Ct. Ho."

"Born about 1700 Died after 1763
Left by will of her father (Pr. 1742) a negro woman.
Left by will (deed) of her mother (1748) all of her estate (D.B. 5-409, Goochland Co., Va.) and John Barnett, witnessed this deed, which was to become effective at her mother's death. Other witnesses were John Bibb and Joseph Farrar. The deed was recorded May 17 - 1648 (Note: John Barnett was her huisband; John Bibb married [BLANK] Farrar; Joseph Farrar was her brother.) Date of deed May 16 - 1748.
Oct.8 -1763 she signed deed with her sons Jesse and Thomas barnett, who sold 175 ac.adjoining John Bibb et als.
- part of this land was bought by their father in 1729 from John Farrar (D.B. 8-370, Goochland Co.)
Her husband's will mentions her and eleven of their children.
