Col. Barnett's article (see note in box next above {i.e., for William Barnett -- PT}) gives date of birth as 1687, but it confuses him with one of the same name in Orange County, Va., who married Marian ______, and had six children: 1. Robert (B. 1701); 2. James, (B.1705); 3.Ambrose (B. 1712); 4. Anna (B. 1714); 5. Sarah (B. 1716); 6. John (B. 1719). The source of these birth dates is not stated.
His will dated Oct. 7 - 1755 was proved Sept. 21 - 1756 (Recorded in Will book 7-118, Gooc hland co., Va.) Witrnesses: Samuel Shix, Henry Whitler, and John Farrar. Executors: Wife, Catherine, and sons, John and Thomas. Eleven children are mentioned in the Will.
