Md GRC (NSDAR) 1950-52 vol. 2 p. 122: B. 1686. Rec'd patent to "Beall's Gift," 24 A. on W side of the Patuxent "'in the woods and freshes' ... "on assignment from Ninian Beall." M. 1707. Inherited from father 1711 a 300-A. plantation in the "uppermost part of Alexandria," to which he moved shortly thereafter and stayed till his death. In 1715, bought w/ his 2 brothers 1300 A. of the Friendship tract (bet. 1st Falls of Potomac and Rock Creek). D. 1751, leaving the homeplace at Alexandria to his son James, who had stayed with him and was executor of his will. N.B. Alexandria was the name of a tract in Prince George's Co., MD -- v.
